The Hawaii Island Wedding Association was originally established in 2015.  It was created to carry on the work of the late Caryn Mine, the Hawaii Island representative of Hawaii Bride and Groom Magazine.  In 2010, Caryn began organizing networking events for wedding professionals to connect and share information about their businesses.  Unfortunately, she passed away in 2014.  In 2015, a group of wedding professionals decided to continue the discussions and networking among wedding professionals.  These professionals would gather once a month in Hilo to discuss the state of the industry, business challenges, solutions, and share knowledge.  Thus, the Hawaii Wedding Association was born.

Whether you provide a wedding service or product, we aim to provide opportunities to connect and collaborate you will other vetted businesses.

Hawai'i Island Wedding Association is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization.
