| Board Member Position: President Board Member Name: Dayna Wong Business Name: Naupaka Events & Weddings Bio: Born and raised on the island of Oahu, Dayna developed interest in special events through her extensive work experiences and college education. Starting as a hostess at Lulu's Waikiki and working her way up to an events manager was the start of her passion for events. It was the moment she married her husband, a Paniolo (cowboy) from Hawai’i Island, that she found a new passion to help other couples with their own weddings. Their wedding theme was “Mauka to Makai” meaning “from the mountain side to the ocean side” because of where they grew up - similar to how the Naupaka is grown on the mountain side and by the ocean side. She is eager to be able to connect and lead wedding professionals through the Hawaii Wedding Association alongside her "A" Team Board Members. |
 | Board Member Position: Vice President Board Member Name: Jason "Jase" Takeya Business Name: Eclipse Effect Events Bio: Jase was born and raised right here on Hawaii Island. He has been working in the mobile DJ industry for many years, initially starting out as a helper and shadowing various mobile DJs in the late 1990s before venturing out on his own to establish Eclipse Effect Events. Additionally, Jase has a 14-year tenure in the radio industry, having worked for KWXX, KPUA, Da Beat, KAPA, KBIG, and Native FM. He made the decision to leave the radio industry behind in order to pursue his passion for working with and assisting people in creating amazing events full-time with Eclipse Effect Events. Jase has also honed his MC skills through his experience working in nightclubs for several years and by attending seminars conducted by industry experts. |
 | Board Member Position: Secretary Board Member Name: Ally Brown Business Name: Ally B Inspired Bio: A numbers girl with a creative soul, Ally Brown is passionate about serving her Big Island community and inspiring others to chase down their dreams. An entrepreneur, wife, mom, and community organizer, Ally is adept at wearing ‘many hats’ with grace. She operates a small accounting consulting practice backed by 20+ years of experience and is also the founder of Ally B Inspired, LLC which specializes in wedding and event planning, coordination, production & collaboration. Ally is also the Executive Director of the Miss Kona Coffee Organization, a local organization of the Miss Hawai’i & Miss America Organizations that provides scholarship opportunities for young women ages 13-18 (Teen) & 18-28 (Miss). |
